The NEWSTART™ Program was founded at the Weimar Institute in California and aims to help clients prevent and treat chronic diseases through lifestyle change. The program is advocated by renowned doctors and scientists all over the world, including cardiologist and champion of preventive medicine, Dr. Dean Ornish, as well as Dr. T. Collin Campbell of Cornell University.
“NEWSTART™” is an acronym for the eight lifestyle principles the program espouses:
- Nutrition: eats a whole food plant based diet
- Exercise: promotes blood circulation
- Water: purifies the body of toxins
- Sunlight: reduces risk of depression and strengthens bones
- Temperance: adopt a lifestyle marked by self-control
- Air: activates cells and improves body function
- Rest: repairs and restores damaged cells
- Trust in Divine Power: invest in eternity
Experts believe that these eight principles are crucial to achieving complete health.
Participants will check into the health center and through classes, demonstrations, and practical exercises, rebuild their lifestyle habits physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually.
Over the years, the Program has achieved a wealth of positive results:
