【Urology】Robotic assisted Urological Surgery

– The information has been reviewed by Dr. Lam Pei Wayne

Robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery is gradually maturing, with nearly twenty years of application history in Hong Kong. Many urological conditions have benefited from this technology, helping patients achieve a cure. The greatest advantage of robotic surgery is its "small incisions and fast recovery," allowing patients to quickly return to their new lives. However, not all patients with urological diseases are suitable for robotic surgery, and in some cases, traditional open surgery may still be necessary. The choice of surgical options should be based on preoperative assessments and discussed thoroughly with the primary physician to ensure that the most appropriate treatment plan is selected for each patient's specific situation.

Let's listen to Dr. Lam Pei Wayne, our Urology consultant, as he explains.
