This method has the advantage of not requiring the skin to be pierced; instead, special adhesive materials are applied to both side of the wound, effectively providing a tight seal. Removal is straightforward and takes only a few seconds, eliminating the complexities associated with traditional suturing removal. Compared to conventional methods, this new technology is not only faster but also minimize damage to the skin associated with suturing.
Nevertheless, some patients may experience allergic reactions to the adhesive materials used. Fortunately, sensitivity is typically limited to the area where the adhesive is applied and does not affect the healing process of the wound itself. Overall, these new suturing techniques enhance the safety and efficiency of surgeries while providing patients with a more comfortable postoperative experience.
