Accountable for the smooth operation and efficiency of the Materials Management department, including the procurement and warehouse functions and Pharmacy Wholesale License activities.
Develop and implement strategies for efficient materials management, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as different ward managers and purchasing team and warehouse team to determine the stock requirements based on forecasted demand.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, prices and establish relationships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and cost
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost savings initiatives, such as vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing, or alternative sourcing strategies, including drug products.
Monitor and comply with regulatory requirements, such as safety standards, environmental regulations, and import/export laws, related to materials management.
Monitor and analyze inventory levels, lead times, and usage patterns to optimize inventory turnover and avoid under or over stock situations.
Maintain inventory management systems and procedures, including automated replenishment systems, to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
To acquaint management with industry trends, new materials, and advancements in supply chain technology to continuously improve materials management processes and meet the standard of our organizations.
Requirement
Degree holder in logistics/supply chain management/operational management or related discipline
Minimum 5-years of experience in material management or similar role in a healthcare and distribution environment
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Cantonese
Good organizational, time management, planning, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good analytical and independent solving skills
Knowledge of supply chain logistics, including transportation, warehousing and distribution
Knowledge of drug procurement markets is required.
